The EUROCITIES Economic Development Forum |
The EUROCITIES Economic Development Forum is chaired by the City of Budapest and is one of the largest working platforms of the network. On average 50 cities take part in the events. Currently, the Forum consists of the following working groups:
- Cohesion Policies and Structural Funds (chair: Leipzig)
- Active participation in the debate on the future of cohesion policies and structural funds
- Preparation of concrete suggestions for the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council
- Appropriate attribution of structural funds budgets to cities and urban areas
- Demonstration of successful approaches of cities as models for future programmes
Working group member cities: Rotterdam, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Brussels region, Lille, Budapest, St.Etienne, Dortmund, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Porto, Helsinki, Berlin
