Inline skating in Leipzig |
The city offers three major courses most popular among inline skaters:
|
| |
Anton-Bruckner-Allee and Nonnenweg in Clara Zetkin Park |
|
The total course runs for about 3.7 kilometres. It leads through a popular green space providing wind-shielding and is centrally located to the city centre. There is plenty of space to park near the course and it is accessible by public transport. Restaurants, bars, cafés and beer gardens are in the immediate vicinity of the course. Since the course is also used by pedestrians, cyclists and children, courtesy on the course is required at junctions and crossings in particular. A connection to the southern recreational area of Leipzig is planned.

|
| |
Tarmac roads along the northern and western shores of Lake Cospuden |
|
The total course runs for about 5 kilometres. Most of it is located near shores of the lake. There is plenty of space to park nearby and the course is accessible by public transport (bus). Seasonal catering facilities in the vicinity. The lake offers opportunities for bathing or swimming. The course is also used by pedestrians and cyclists – particularly on bright and warm days. An extension of the course along the western shore of the lake and a connection to the city centre are planned.

Cycle paths and tarmac track at Leipzig New Fair exhibition centre |
|
The total course runs for about 5 kilometres and is located in the north of Leipzig. There are plenty of parking spaces nearby. The course is easily accessible by public transport. Due to a reduction in traffic, the cycle paths and tarmac tracks are particularly popular at the weekends. |

Attention:
Please note that the courses are not reserved for inline skaters only. Rather, these are cycle paths, footpaths and other paths and roads especially suitable for inline skating due to their surface and location. Legally, inline skaters are considered to be pedestrians! Therefore, please behave accordingly and skate with consideration for other users of the course!
