Since 1991 the Sports Museum has organised more than 20 travelling and special exhibitions in Leipzig, Saxony, and in other countries of Germany. Particular exhibitions can be hired from the museum, including "OlympART – Diplome und Medaillen der Olympischen Spiele" (1992) (diplomas and medals of the Olympic Games) and "Sportfotografie" (sports photography). The Sports Museum participated in approximately 50 exhibitions throughout Germany, in Switzerland, Austria and the US. Moreover, the museum supports fairs and festivals with sports-historic exhibits.
