Interactive population pyramid

This interactive graphics shows the development of the Leipzig population over a period of over 35 years. The graphics is based on the population figures by age and sex. Beginning with 2009, the figures are taken from the latest population forecast of 2009.

The animation can be started with the Start-button and can be stopped with the Pause-Button at any time. The slider helps to select a single year. The animation speed can be set to three different values.
Move the mouse over the grahics to display the population figures of a specific age-group. Click the grahics to fix a specific age-group.
