The LEIPZIG CARD |
Leipzig, too, has its "Welcome Card", and it comes with plenty of discounts and benefits. Whether tourist or citizen of Leipzig – the card is essential for anyone wanting to discover the city.
LEIPZIG CARD is like a tram or bus ticket but offering additional special discounts. Travel freely within the city limits on all trams and busses of Leipzig's public transport company LVB (except special service busses and trams), enjoy discounts on sightseeing tours and guided walks, or on the "great Leipzig tram sightseeing tour", as well as in selected shops, in the city's museums and recreational facilities.
And you can also explore the city on bicycle or take a boat cruise on Lake Cospuden.
A special feature of the LEIPZIG CARD are discounts on tickets for selected performances at the Gewandhaus concert hall, the Leipzig Opera House, theatre productions at Centraltheater Leipzig, cabaret performances and events at the Leipzig Bach Festival. And if you get a little peckish while exploring the city, a number of cafés and restaurants offer a special LEIPZIG CARD discount on your bill or even a LEIPZIG CARD menu complete with two beverages (soft drinks, beer or wine). Children can opt for a discount on a regular children's dish.

Categories and validity:
- LEIPZIG CARD – Day Ticket (valid for one person): 8.90 euros
- LEIPZIG CARD – 3-Day Ticket (valid for one person): 18.50 euros
- LEIPZIG CARD - 3-Day Group Ticket (valid for two adults and up to 3 children under 14): 34.00 euros
Note:
The LEIPZIG CARD is only valid with your signature and the date of first use. It must be cancelled on the first LVB tram or bus journey. Upon pricing changes, Old LEIPZIG CARDs lose validity 3 months after the new prices have become effective.
You can buy your LEIPZIG CARD in many places throughout the city, including the Leipzig Information centre, the LVB-Mobilitätszentrum, the LVB service centre in Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse 8, in many hotels, at the Auensee camp site, at travel agents, as well as online.
