19 - Bach Statue in front of St Thomas's Church

In front of the south portal of St. Thomas's Church is the 2.45m high statue of Johann Sebastian Bach, created by Carl Seffner in 1908.

In the Summer time the "Monday Concerts by the Bach Statue" are held here.

The old Bach Statue erected at the instigation of Mendelssohn Bartholdy was unveiled in 1843 and can be found in the park by Dittrichring opposite St. Thomas's Church.
