Inhalt

From 2012 until 2014 the urban regions of Halle/Leipzig, Wrocław, Prague, Graz and Torino exchanged on possibilities for better cooperation of metropolitan cities with their urban hinterland. On 24.09.2014 the partners discussed with the interested public, how to use European strategies and European policies to achieve the joint goals.

Furthermore the perspectives of strategic cooperation in Central Europe were evaluated, taking into account the discussion on macro-regional strategies in the EU.

Transnational newsletter no. 2

The second transnational edition of the project newsletter documents the panel on urban-rural cooperation held during the International Expert Conference on 24.09.2014 in Dresden. Further information on local activities is provided in local newsletters, which are available in the pilot sections.

Good practice collection

Through study visits and desk research the partners of City Regions investigated inspiring practices in peri-urban cooperation, e.g. in Hamburg, Bremen-Oldenburg, Brabantstad, Zürich and many more. Results have been compiled to a joint report.
