The special focus of the Leipzig application is in the fields of energy in connection with environmentally friendly production and use, smart city approaches in a networked, intelligent city and in the area of digital health care (eHealth) in connection with mobile data processing for the treatment or observation of patients.
The city of Leipzig, the Spinlab Accelerator GmbH and the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management applied to the Digital Hub initiative of the Ministry of economics to be one of twelve German Digital Hubs.
The Ministry of Economics would like to hightlight the initiative Germany's strengths as a leading industrial nation with existing, high-quality know-how, and thus make Germany an alternative for entrepreneurs, investors and professionals from around the world. All twelve German hubs of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology's Digital Hub Initiative have now been now set up.
